Citrus Social is going red in February for Heart Month. We started working with the Cleveland chapter of American Heart Association in October, and we have LOVED every minute of it.

Here are some projects we’re working on:

#ClevelandGoesRed Blogger Outreach

We coordinated blogger outreach centered around the Go Red For Women Health Expo and Luncheon. We reached out to local, women bloggers to write about a “go red” topic that means something to them. Some of the topics included: heart healthy food, fun yoga poses, interior designing with red, and more!

We have a great collection of blogs from popular bloggers around town. Read them here:

Go red in Cleveland and cook up some fun with Jen from Why Cle?

Add hints of red hues to your interior design with Danielle Harper DeBoe

Learn about Protecting Your Heart with Shibani from She In The Cle

Show some love for heart healthy tacos with Reena Goodwin

Strike a yoga pose with Alicia Hansen

Looking to get involved with Go Red for Women #ClevelandGoesRed? You can win TWO tickets to the luncheon on 2/10. Our friend, Jen from Why Cle?, is hosting the contest on her blog. Check it out.

Tweet Your Heart Out – Citrus Social Sponsorship

In addition to blogger outreach for Go Red For Women, Citrus Social will be hosting the social suite at the GRFW Health Expo and Luncheon. We will offer fun, interactive games (with prizes, of course), a place to recharge, and fun ways to share your experience at the expo.

We hope to see you there! Share the love in February with #ClevelandGoesRed

Infographic Initiative

We create infographics for AHA to share on a monthly basis. Our goal is to help people realize the shocking statistics surrounding heart disease and stroke in an easily digestible way. Infographics are a perfect way to demonstrate this information because iconography is so popular, especially with information overload on the web.

Here are some examples of infographics we made for AHA:

The American Heart Association has such a strong brand, it has been incredibly rewarding professionally and personally to work with such a powerful national brand and non-profit. We are honored to fight women’s diseases in Cleveland and beyond with Cleveland AHA. Join us in our journey to defeat heart disease and stroke!

And don’t forget National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 3rd!
