Citrus is Hiring (Part-Time Marketing Assistant)

We’re Citrus Social, a fast-paced digital and event marketing agency. We do everything from social media management to event promotion, and we’re looking for someone to add to our team part-time in a marketing // administrative role. We want a true go-getter who is both creative and organized that will help our company grow.

Job: Part Time Marketing Assistant

Primary Roles: Administrative duties – performs as the right hand to the owner 

  • Schedule, plan, and (if possible) attend client meetings and provide insight and follow-up
  • Organize and maintain office schedule and appointments
  • Manage owner’s calendar
    • Prepare and print any relevant documents
    • Take thorough notes
    • Send follow up / recap emails
  • Correspond via email and telephone on behalf of the owner
  • Carry out background work maintenance, research, and content scheduling
  • Produce documents, presentations, and reports
  • Act as liaison with clients, vendors, and other staff
  • Handle all collections

Secondary Roles: Marketing Responsibilities – Social Media and Content Manager

  • Oversee all client social media accounts
    • Schedule & live post, monitor accounts and respond to comments
  • Work with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Provide monthly performance reports to owner
  • Help develop content marketing campaigns
  • Manage WordPress blogs
    • Write, edit, and upload blogs

Candidate Should:

  • Keep things exceptionally organized while remaining flexible when needed
  • Always be on time
  • Be OK working in a non-traditional environment
  • Understand the language of different social media sites
  • Know where to find every emoji
  • Have experience writing for different industries
  • Understand how to produce and maintain a Content Calendar
  • Have exceptional customer service and client relationship skills
  • Analyze existing work and suggest intelligent content improvements
  • Have a passion for doing exceptional work
  • Have basic understanding of WordPress, Sprout Social, Airtable, Trello, Slack, and other Social and Content Marketing platforms

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-2 years in an administrative or marketing role
  • High attention to detail
  • Extremely organized
  • Outgoing and comfortable in front of clients
  • Values customer service
  • Enjoys a creative and collaborative work environment
  • Adaptive to different work settings
  • Self-starter that can complete tasks with little supervision
  • Familiar with WordPress and Content Management Softwares (Hubspot, SproutSocial, MeetEdgar, etc.) 

The Nitty-Gritty:

  • We anticipate this position working 15-20 hours/week
  • Compensation range ($13 – $16/hour) with potential increase after three-month review
